The 2022 L’Amorce Rosé from Maison Glandien is a truly remarkable Burgundy, crafted entirely from Pinot Noir. This particular expression by Tino Kuban goes far beyond what one might typically expect from a rosé. While it paired exceptionally well with surf and turf style dishes, the most impressive aspect of this wine is undeniably the profound texture it presents on the palate.

It is a wine that demands time and observation, as it evolves beautifully in the glass. The initial aromas are highly floral and captivatingly sweet, which then gracefully transition into lovely berry notes accompanied by a subtle, herbal, and savory element. With an alcohol content of 12.5 percent, it shows excellent structure. The vibrant acidity and rich fruit concentration support a persistent and strong mid-palate.

What truly sets this wine apart is its extraordinary creaminess and silkiness. This distinctive texture gives the wine a satisfying body and weight, yet it manages to remain deeply elegant throughout, culminating in a notably long finish. It is simply an excellent rosé expression of Pinot Noir, one that leaves a lasting impression and certainly makes one very curious to explore more of Tino Kuban’s winemaking endeavors.
